Late Sept not good for me I'm afraid.
However, Whilst the thought of another match is very appealing, would it not be better to leave this to a similar time next year, a season opener in late Feb ? My own opinion is that having it twice a year would sort of take the shine off it. Goswick is probably best geographical location for most people. Most people will need to travel some distance to get there. It's sort of in between. It certainly was a great venue and I for one would be glad to go there for a rematch. Getting a date in Feb would give us the chance to book out the travel lodge at £9 a night ?

I'm with DCB and would vote for a Feb 2010 date. It's a great course and B.U.T. is a decent place to go out for a night on the town. I'm not sure if I could persuade Fraser to return after his "humping" earlier this year which might reduce the mirth factor somewhat.

You got the bleedin' Olympics, you are bidding for the World Cup and now you want the GM Scotland v England meet as well ? Surely at least one of the world's top sporting events should be held in (or at least very very close to) Scotland ?

Goswick must stay! It's just too good to lose.
We have the future annual Spring meet at RA which our kilted brothers can't get to, so why move this one? a bit selfish?
Anyway it shouldn't be a big deal to get a car share for this if you really wanted to go, Murph did it back to Watford in one hit!
I took my time and cruised back in one go, next time I'd do the trip up in one as well, though I'd still do the 3-night stay if I soloed, but that's my choice.

Sorry I could not reply last night singles knockout at the club lost 6 and 5 but that’s another story.
For what its worth I think the location of Goswick is great, no matter where it is held some people will have problems getting there due to travel distance one good thing about having it at Goswick was that it was only about £40 for 2 days golf and a evening meal really value for money if you come further south the cost will increases and as it was in February the course was in great condition for that time of year.
Even if there was no return match (Scotland v England) this year I think that some of the guys who took part last time would like to meet up for a weekends golfing this would also be open to any body from the forum who wants a good weekends golfing away from HID.
Some of the guys who have show an interest will be at Mid-Yorkshire on Sunday so we can have the crack about it there
