after yesterdays round, scored 37 points but hit too many slices off the t , decided to have a range session tonight to try to get to bottom of it. had a good read and re think last night so hit the range with a plan , warmed up with wedge . and then time for the driver .

ball aimed at target line , club aligned on target line, feet square to target line, ball just inside left heel, teed high, rear foot eased back 3 inches front foot realinged to rear, shoulders now slightly right of target, club still on target line, weight on back foot . swing normaly concentrate on back of ball.

result nice soft controlled draw distance 200 plus, god it is amazing what you can achieve when you follow a set routine and set up correctly, secret is now to do it 18 times on the trot out on the course

Make all of that "natural" first, thats way too much to think of just before a shot on the course. The mind will ignore the whole lot and do what it does "naturally".

Gotta grain it in!

Easy to do within the geometric confines of a range mat but it takes a lot of practice to make that slightly downhill lie, coming from a slight left to right angle feel 100%. It will come and its great that you realise the importance of good fundamentals. It will never go straight at your target if you can't aim at it properly. Glad you cracked it and I like the sound of a soft draw
