I hit 100 balls this evening at the range, it went pretty well but I was really helepd by there being a large mirror behind the bay I was in, not in any others.
It really helped with posture, distance of hands from body, alignment, stooping, takeaway path etc etc.
You can stop and face the mirror to check positions in the swing too. Really useful.
I think all range bays should have a mirror for swing analysis, why don't they?

When I swing a club in the garden I can check my reflection in the patio doors which can be helpful to establish what the right position feels like. The central part of the door frame also gives a good reference point to check if I am moving off the ball too much.

Same, I use the conservatory windows to check my set up, in fact was doing that in the garden not 10 minutes ago........umm, back to work now though...

I would assume the reason they dont put them in every bay is expense.

Most ranges I have been to have a mirror in the selected "teaching bay" where the pro would give lessons.

I agree that mirrors are very useful especially for posture and swing plain. I have had many friends comment that while most people check their hair when they catch their reflection in a window i am always caught checking my swing!!

....why don't they?

I turned around (90 degrees) to try one once, swing the club and broke my driver on a metal support post.

Note to anyone stupid!? - if there's a mirror to the side, as opposed to the back of the bay.....beware.... :o
