Range Balls

There is no hard and fast rule - like "they go 10% less distance" tbh as there are different types of range ball available. For example, you can buy one, two or three piece range balls at what they call differing compression levels - e.g. 70, 80, 90% compression. Generally speaking a range owner will buy the level of compression that suits how much land they have. If they only have a longest distance of say 250 yards then they will buy a lower compression ball to stop people hitting the balls too far and losing them. The other thing range owners do is to but balls that are no good for general play which stops people from nicking them!!
