Rakes and Covid 19

I also played today and seemed like most of the seniors were taking note if the 2m separation. My group did and we didn’t even touch elbows after. No exchanging of scorecards - just mark one of the others and input that into computer then bin card. No rakes and upturned cups so flag not touched. Hopefully the Covidiots don’t end up spoiling it for us ‘responsible’ exercisers
In addition we have increased starting gaps to 10 min for 2/3 balls and 15 for 4 balls

The CONGU decision is significant.

CONGU Decision 23/3/20
Flagsticks/Holes: If clubs have made the decision to modify the depth of the hole to allow players to remove the ball without touching the flagstick, scores will be acceptable for either competition or supplementary score purposes.
Bunkers: If clubs introduce a Local Rule to allow preferred lies in bunkers, scores will be acceptable for competition or supplementary score purposes. (Using Model Local Rule E-3) Please note: The distance for preferred lies in the bunker is limited to 6 inches and the area cannot be smoothed before placing. Alternatively, if the condition of bunkers is so poor that it interferes with the proper playing of the game, a club Committee may declare all bunkers to be Ground Under Repair, scores will be acceptable for competition or supplementary score purposes.
Note: These temporary provisions are applicable until further notice.

Looks like we'll have to stop golf now anyway after Boris statement tonight. Perhaps it is a form of exercise, but he only limits that to solo or with a family member. I'm pretty sure golf wouldn't be an acceptable form of exercise, especially competitions
