RAIN!!!!!

All week i've been looking forward to today. Looking forward to a lie in, a nice breakfast, then 36 holes over the rest of today before back to work tomorrow.

As i woke, i realised there was alot of noise outside.... RAIN, God damn it, Not just any rain, rain thats been sent by the devil (must hate golf). No chance of any holes today. Grrrrrrrrr.

Looks like ill be logging onto works system and finishing my caseloads.

Despite being off today I dont mind todays rain as out course desperately needs it. This is the 3rd week without rain untill today.

In fact our greens were so dry they were going yellow and the old holes had started to shrink, despite having the sprinklers on every morning.

I hit a wedge from 140 the other night, bouncing it 20 yards short and it still went through the back. It went about 170 all in all. John Daly stuff!!!!!

Rain is welcome as long as it remembers to go off again that is!!!

Likewise craw, our sprinklers are out at the moment due to a fire in the 'engine room', and ongoing dispute with the insurance company for them to stump up for repairs.

That said, being in NW England, we're not as desperate as you, as we've had a fair bit lately and the course has only just dried out, but the greens defo need the watering.

Have fate, The rain is spreading eastwards pretty quickly we had it this morning in bucket loads but the sun is splitting the trees here in Dublin at the Moment. You might just get 18 in this evening.

Booked in for Sunday. So make sure you get a game in Saturday, coz Sunday is gonna be as wet as a duck weeing in a pond

Got four rounds on Friday - and a round at HTL's track on Sunday. So far things are looking good weatherwise. We've only just got the rain in the last hour in the form of sudden and heavy showers followed by a bit of sun and then another shower

saying that the last couple of weeks there has been some superb golfing weather, long may it continue!

Don't really mind the rain. Couldn't hide away from it on the sea!

No such thing as bad weather. Just the wrong choice of clothing!

Though I do of course realise that playing golf in the rain can be a bit tricky with wet gloves and grips.

Got 18 holes in later on!! woohoo. Much to my other halfs bemusement i headed up about 4pm and thankfully only got a light dusting. Worth it aswell, had a stormer of a back 9, Birdies on 13,15,17,18... Super Stuff.
