Had to drive down to Glasgow on monday and it was tipping down the whole way. Driving back from Kingsbarns on Sunday there was no standing water as such though the drive back.

But boy was there some by monday the whole Spey valley by Kingussie was under water lots of rivers overflowing.

The news said on Tuesday that 10 inches of rain had fallen in the highlands over those two nights.

Thats pretty wet.

Anyone else getting this level of rain?

According to our Greenkeepers we had 170mm of rain in January and much the same in February.
Since then we haven't had 170mm in total.
Had a bit of rain recently but nothing like that.
Once the hard crust on top softened, the ground is just soaking it up like a sponge.

10 inches of rain is a lot and its got to go somewhere!

Beautiful sunshine most days - glourious at the moment with it due to get hotter tomorrow

Saw on the weather and news that some of Scotland had taken a battering recently with a large amount in a short period. Hopefully it'll run away and clear and not too much disruption about. Last thing we need are water tables getting topped up so high this early or we'll have the courses closed for waterlogging

Into Rivers mostly then out to sea.

The Ness is at the bottom of my road and its about a foot from the overflowing. I walked my dogs though the Islands on Saturday and one section in the middle was dry, i stood in it while my two German Pointers chased Ducks. Last night the Islands were closed as the whole area is under water, the section i stood in is now at least 8 feet under water.

Very little rain here in the Carse, but then we have the the lowest rainfall in Scotland, but yesterday we had the first frost of the winter. It is the 1st November on Saturday though.

No just you, with the black cloud that seems to follow you around. The only day i've been soaked this year was the day played along with you.

What are you talking about you silly old duffer it was dry at St Andrews. I suggest you can hardly remember what you did yesterday let alone 7 months ago, probably explains why you think you played so well and beat me at the KOK (despite you being my partner,so wwe didn't play against each other at all) and you won every hole on your own:rofl::rofl:
