Mornin,
Just a rant more than anything else now......Was due to be knocking a ball off our 5th at this time but the weather has other ideas....It milling here....Iv cancelled our 10 o clock tee time and hopefully if the rain clears by lunchtime ill try get out again for around 3ish......Its singles stableford today.....I was all geared up have a new pre shot routine and im trying to emulate the swings of Freddie "Boom Boom", and ernie in a bid to get better tempo..... I was trying to mimic Padraig Harringtons pre shot routine but frankily its a little hurried and i want to take things a little slower and smoother.......
Im getting more into the mental side of the game recently and as i play with what comes to me naturally i dont get caught up in technical issues. It seems to be working a little.

The golf course needs rain. Well, mine does anyway.

Why can't you play in the wet? I would have thought that if you don't play in bad weather, then living in Ireland, you would never get out on the course?

Golf yesterday was a slog.Heavy rain, wet ground, mud balls.Really unenjoyable.I'll not be playing in the rain for a while again.

Personally Murph i dont mind getting wet at all....You just accept it at this side of the world but my playing partners pulled the plug.....Which left me with noone to play with as all tee times had 4 balls booked for this morning....Billy no mates.....; :D :D

I would have needed a card marker that was willing to walk with me in the rain!

Our course needs a little rain also and while im glad it did rain i would have preferred to be battering my ball around in it.

Ah well roll on 3 o clock and hopefully we'll get out.

I feel your pain.

I don't mind the rain BUT... yesterday in the medal and going well, the heavens opened, i'd only gone and left my rain gear in the car.
I may as well have jumped in the lake.
One of our 4 ball walked in as did numerous others.

Still, there are worse things in life than getting wet

I love playing in the rain as it means i dont need to make loads of birdies(just scramble for pars) in medals as most players just blow up when it does start. Bad drives dont run into trouble if you hit do mis hit them, you can fire at pins and those tricky 3 footers can be hit straight and hard, unless there is a big break in them. Heres hoping it rains in 2 weeks time for the junior championship :D

I don't mind the rain unless it's absolutely pissing down.

So long as I'm prepared: waterproofs, umbrella, extra gloves, extra towels etc.

All part of the challenge.
