Sorry to change the subject matter but I did not want to start a new thread and it relates to The R and A App which I have downloaded.

I wanted to know something about PCC calculation and was quoted Rule 5.6 but it was not in the R and A app but found it on a Google AI search.

Is there another rule book where I can find this information and is there a Randa app?

PCC is covered by the Rules of Handicapping (5.6)

If I go back to my "Yes Minister" days I'm sure they talked about not asking questions you don't know the answer to.

The survey is clearly an attempt to highlight issues they are concerned about so then the next update to the rules is produced they can say they are addressing the feedback from golfers. Hence, the nature of the questions is of interest. Like most people I had to estimate several answers but whether I hit 3,5 or 7 provisional balls in my last 5 rounds - the point was I did hit some and they can point to time being saved if people hit a provisional (or the club uses the local rule to drop if ball lost).

The sad thing about it is it is unlikely we will see any results as the R&A / USGA don't often publish results so they can be sense checked.
