Is it possible to custom fit clubs that have already been custom fit?

My son wants my MX-17's which have already been custom fit for me at 2 degrees upright & 1 inch longer, he requires them at 1 inch shorter but standard lie.

I asked my local pro the same question last week and he told me that once a set of clubs had been adjusted they cant be adjusted again, is this correct or is he just unwilling to fit a set of clubs he hasnt sold?

I'm not to sure about that one Keef but isn't someone on here selling a driver that was custom fitted to them?

Find a real Pro.

I'm pretty certain that 'any' set of irons can be adjusted again, ....not sure how many times would perhaps be reccomended, but they can be done.

He's obviously not interested, so take your business elsewhere.

Yeah that should be no problem, although adjusting the lie's on cast clubs do have a element of risk

maybe speak to another pro or club fitter and they should sort it,

should not be too expensive apart from new grips

Are you after some new bats then?

Drivers are'nt fitted like irons, ie Loft & Lie isnt set up like irons, its just the Shaft that is supposedly fit to match your swing.

Why I cant get on with my stunning 909 is anyone's guess, when I can knock a stock 905R very well.

:D

Cheers fellas, I thought he was filling me full of crap to be honest but wasnt sure!

Yes Andi, I reckon i'll be needing a new set of sticks shortly and I have my eye on a nice new set of MX-200's.

Just need to sweet talk the wife just a little bit more as I already have her tapped up for a GPS unit & an electric trolley :D

Keef take them back to whoever fitted you...it might cost you though. Your local Mizuno fitting centre should do the trick!

Yep, I've just bought a set like this, and previously bought a set (1997) and did exactly the same thing.

As ever, depends on what was done to them......

When I had my MX200's custom fitted I had them made up one degree flatter as suggested by Mizuno man.
I asked at the time whether they could be adjusted again should
a) my swing change
b) I didn't get on with them

He said that as they were forged irons they could be changed back and maybe changed "a few times"(depends on what is done to them) but after that they would begin to weaken.
Cast irons are a different kettle of fish, and some pro's don't like altering them because of the possibility that they may damage them.
If the MX17's are forged you should be ok?
