So in Saturdays medal I had my worst putting performance I can remember! I hit the most GIR in a long time but the flat stick didn't want to play. I normally average 34-36 putts a round but had 42 on Saturday! Everything was out, length and line.

So over the weekend I did a bit of the online research and a practice with the v-easy. I also had a think back to what the pro said at the end of last year in my putting lesson. I'm very right eye and hand dominant so tend to miss that side more than any other. So had a practice on the putting green on Monday night, narrowed the stance a little as had got a bit too wide. When lining up a putt I aimed slightly left of where I thought to aim.

So mid week stableford on Tuesday night and took 27 putts! Everything was dropping or within tap in range. Now it wasn't all down to great putting as my GIR dropped and the short game was on fire but last weekend I would still have missed these putts! So all in all I had 7 one putts and no three putts. Also helped by a chip in on the 14th!

So the moral of the story is a) remember what your pros tell you and b) doing the same thing over and over gives the same results!

Hope it continues through the season now!
