If you do look at other Putters as a last resort try Rife putters recently bought one and great results from the start. I have the Hybrid which comes with extra weights.

Chris, looking at the putt from 6 foot away was something that Danny Willet did alot of at Walton Heath. That guy can putt well. He drained tones of birdie putts.

I was a little like you last year I changed to a scotty. I had to change my stroke to suit it coming from an odyssey no 7.

One thing I now practice regular is putting past the hole. I lay the little flags on the putting green down about 2 ft behind the hole and score points for my putts.

-3 for anything short.
+3 for anything holed
+1 for anything missed but between the hole and the flag.
0 for anything missed and past the flag.

The idea is to give you putt a chance, being punished when they are short.

It helps me to forget about the line so much and get a good pace. I find the line naturally after a while and the stroke ends up grooved in time for the round.

You should try it.

I got a Scotty newport select 2.7 earlier this year and has improved my putting no end. Its quite heavy as well

Do it. I converted to the dark side of heavy mallet putters and am like a pig in mud on the greens these days.
(unless they are HUGE, then I'll leave plenty short!)
It's 95% in your head (let's face it), but I trust my Mallet and 5% more confidence might mean saving a few strokes now and again. I do hole some beauties with it now and again too.

I use one of these especially for 6 footers. The larger ring reduces the hole size by something like 48% and the small ring by about 60%. With the small one on it is literally just bigger than the ball and so it will only go in if you hit is square. I'm not bad from about 18 inches on that one but any longer and I struggle. The larger cup is still a challenge but it makes the hole look huge when you take it off and gives you so much confidence
