putting lessons

Plenty coming on putting funny enough. Couple of reviews and you make a good point about Aimpoint and it's something I'll do in a few weeks. Bit full on in work and golf wise but yest, why not?

Reviews I'm not fussed on but videos on aim point should get you plenty of views. good luck.

finally all done!

i can't say enough about Jude and the help I've had. Still to fully master pace on the longer putts. But I now feel confident I have a stroke and an idea how to get things going.

Played 3 rounds since the lessons and all three have had me under my handicap and have averaged 32 putts. Which considering the way I was going was miraculous.

Have 4 days of golf at Celtic Manor and The belfry next week and I've gone from dreading it to really looking forward to it!

That's some improvement. Confidence breeds confidence and 32 putts isn't too shabby at all. Work hard on the 2-4 footers and you're handicap will tumble this season for sure

Great news Dave. Just remember we are only human and it won't be brilliant every round. But if you can trust what you have then you are there

Tbh this coming week is the real test on bigger greens. RSG and RCP killed the last of my confidence. Hopefully a good few days and I'll be settled.

If I could avaerhae just 36 points this year I'd still not be unhappy.

Its more the longer puts where my issues were. A degree out at two foot and you still manage to hole it. But at 20ft or so and you leave yourself a tricky second, which I was missing to often.

A drill I like to do to help my stroke is 4 tee pegs - 2 set the width of the putter and 2 more set the width of the ball 6 inches in front of the other 2.
Hit putts through them - If you hit the back pegs your putting stroke is off line. if the ball hits the front pegs you push or pull it.

I find it a very simple drill. Keeps it easy.

Also when I line up on the green - use a line on the ball. Then when I'm practice the stroke I look at hole and focus on only the hole not the stroke.

Its improved my putt a lot. Keep it simple - stop overthinking.
