No problem, just thought I'd mention it.

So I've just had my eyes opened and have to say that the samputt lab was very useful.
On on first glance my putting wasn't stroke wasn't too bad. My consistency was very good. Unfortunately so was the error I appeared to have. A few little adjustments and although consistently dropped slightly (due to new feeling). Am happy with the initial outcome. Will leave a week or two to bed in and practice before returning to see if the changes have settled and then work on the next stage of improvements.
Well done Dave. Glad everything worked out. Hope to hear good things over the next few weeks

Got to love a Samlab. What was the recurring error?
I was consistently addressing the ball with a closed club face due to my right hand grip being to strong. So although i was over compensating with a putting path that almost neutralised it. It was still got a dispersion, approx 4degree. After lesson i had it tightened to less than 1 degree. Also had a very long back stroke which meant i had no real tempo.
Ranging from 2 - 6 degree closed. Then swing open approximately the same back. But that's averages. So plenty of times I'd be 6 closed and 2 open which doesn't help. Tempo was also a big issue as my back swing and swing through were similar in length in all putts. Pace was hit and miss. Nit have an idea to try with regards to length or pace of putts. How closed. So hard to see in real time on the course I found. I tended to be open by 2-3 degrees and took it away outside and cut it. Never really saw it too often on the course unless I left it really open
Finally managed to get out today somtook advanatge and went for 36 holes.
67 putts all in.
May not sound fantasctic, but was comfortably lower than previous rounds. Was also the first time on greens and had to get used to my increased putting pace and sent a few racing past at the start. Greens were slightly quicker than my putting mat and they tend to have a little more slope lol.
Green shoots of recovery.
Excellent. Small steps and once you get pace of the greens and read them better, and more importantly relax and trust, then you'll hole so many more
Thats the bit I have to work on. It still feels a little alien to me. I trust it, but atm I have to manipulate my hands to get into position as I've had such a bad grip and posture for so long.
I'm sure come summer we will get another game.Well done mate. Hope to see the new you putting machine in action soon
I finally had a putting lesson tonight after putting really poorly since starting the game again. Never had a putting lesson before so everything I was doing was what I 'thought' was right!! After getting the alingment sticks out I was shocked how far off the hole I was set up!. Shocking. Shoulders totally wrong, ball position in the wrong place, even the putter face was off line. I was almost/was trying to push it at the hole. Another lesson next week and drills to do this week.
Were you aiming left by any chance?
my club face wasn't consistently closed. Had the putting mat at work on nights all weekend and changes starting to bed in. It's eye opening to see so,e of the basic errors I had.
