I am considering a taylor made rossa lambeau putter. Can I get it 37 inches (2 over standard length?) How do they compare to the odesseys? Do these come custom fitted?
Your opinions welcome. Thanks
PS If Marc reads this well done on your 77 at Brickendon but only 84 at Essendon yesterday!

I dont think you'll find one off the shelf at 37" - wouldn't be worth the manufacturer doing a run at that odd length. A club pro could reshaft it for you instead probably.

I think rather than asking opinions on it, which will nearly always read 'absolutley brilliant, holed everything ete etc' as the poster justifies to themselves buying it, you'd be better getting along to one of the big golf shops and try loads out till you fnd one you're happy with. Don't go on brand just on what holes out best.

I'm currently going through putters like no-one's business, just cant find anything that really fits.

First 2 cards this year I've putted 32 and 35 times. That's way too many and costing me 0.1's as I'm very steady tee to green. Even had a 4 putt yesterday which is abyssmal.

Got hold of a Ping Zing 2i which feels good so will give that a run out next Sat. :)

You wont need it rehshafting, just buy a 35" and get your/A local pro to stick a 2" bung in the grip to make it the 37" your after. Prob wont even charge you if he's anything like our pro.

Is 37" the correct fit for you? If so, get it re-shafted or extended from wherever is selling it. Ordering one could take a long time.....Odyssey currently a month, so I hear.

Do you want 37" because that is spot-on according to an C/F expert?

6' Andy....I'm more concerned about what sort of skyscraper of a chap needs a 37" putter....

My best man is 6'4" and was the person to recommend a custom fit putter session for me.

He has a 4 degree up 35 1/2" Ping Answer......

???????????

Not sure unless you had been C/F'd why you would want one that length. Its not a belly length and way too long for standard. My advice would be to try the standard length and see how it feels and then decide if it is the face for you and then work out what size is best

I don't think he's coming back.....

It's deeply worrying.....unless he's a giant, he'll have the putting style of Kenny Perry, about 3 inches outside the line of the ball. Perry has "forced" it to work over 25 years and he's not even in the top 50....

it maybe a belly putter if he is shorter than average.

as for reviews, what one putter does for one won't necessary do it for another. You need to try them out, preferably on real grass.

Hi I'm back!
Got caught in a traffic jam on the A11 back from Carrow Road - three more points might avoid the drop yet.

I have a ping craz-e and c/f with 37". I am 6'4" tall with long legs but am lokking for something 'lighter' and more feel for the faster summer greens. I like the advice for buying a 35 and have a 'bung' inserted - done that before.

As always great advice - going to the Golf show at the excel so will try a range there. Thanks to all
