Speaking to my friend the other day on the putting green and he seems to think that changing the length of a putter affects the sweet spot.
For example, his demonstration.
A 34 inch putter cut down to 33 inches.
He held the shaft lightly about half way up and tapped a golf ball along the face until the point where the vibrations were dampened the most and called this the sweet spot. Which after he cut his putter down an inch had moved about 1/4 towards the heel.
The demo made sense and pretty sure the sweet spot was towards the heel but could cutting down the putter cause this or could it have been at that point all the time??
Just wondering if anyone else was familiar with this.
