I have 2 putters, one of each. Don't really notice much difference between them if I'm honest.

I'm the same. When I went putter shopping at the end of the season, I went with the intention of buying a milled face mallet putter. Tried loads and walked out with a bladed insert putter (Odyssey Metal X #1).

Wouldn't have cared if it was made of pork chops- I went with what worked best.

Insert for me. I bought a Scotty X a few years back but it didn't stay in the bag too long. It felt too springy off the face.

But surely the type of ball also has a bearing on how it feels off the face, e.g. a Pinnacle brick gives no feedback irrespective of what you hit it with.... well. apart from a loud click.
