Evening All, Gonna buy a new putter as the old one I have I just don't get any feel off it. I was at truegrip in widnes and had a play with some scotty camerons, mizuno and ping putters and they felt so much better than mine. Is it worth getting fitted and what do they do in the fitting? My putting as a rule is the best part of my game and always liked my old hippo putter but since trying some new ones it feels like stone.

I'd say fitting was more useful than the exact putter.

I took my putter to a lesson/fitting and he didn't even want to change my putter (the model) but he did want to violate it in other painful ways.

It instantly felt completely different. Not just the putter itself, but me too, new hold/grip, new posture, new everything.

Ping make a big deal about fitting the putter to the stroke. If there's anything in that, even more reason to get fitted.
