Putter choice.

I currently use an Odyssey 2 Ball White Hot putter, but I also have a couple of Ping Ansers and a Ping B60. As my putting is very inconsistent I still don't know which is most suitable for me.
Is there a definitive way of finding out whether a blade or mallet is going to be the preffered option, or is it okay to keep chopping & changing.
Any advice would be good.
