We all know the first unwritten rule of golf is to play the provisional first. It invariably goes where the original should have. To be honest at the moment the only time you need to take a provisional at my course means it is in the real thick stuff and the chances of finding it are slim to remote anyway. That said it is a fair way off line so if you are in there you deserve to be losing a ball
