Protecting grips during storage?

I have noticed that a few clubs/spare shafts which have been sitting in my garage over the winter have had the grips deteriorate, the garage is dry and would be subject to normal drafts so I’m wondering how others get around this?

Grips effected were the same brand and aged as those used during the winter which have been fine. Both stored in the garage during weekdays.

Dunno as I’m not a polymer expert.

It may prevent the grip drying out or hardening which is what really degraded the grippy qualities

Makes sense.

Rubber will perish with changes of ambient temperature.
Would suggest not storeing clubs anywhere that is unheated in winter or ventilated in summer.
