Yeah his game looks set up for their coursesProbably suit his game over there, massive of the tee and the rough never seems to bad.
Can see him being a Ryder Cup player in a couple years

Got to Augusta and Birkdale too....
How much appearance money I wonder ? no go at Rory, they are all in on it, and then play I'm here for the trophy crapppp
Great to see top players going to play in these home Opens
Which courses would you say were woeful on LIV?Looking back over the past season (it's not over yet!) - I think it was wildly entertaining. Scottie proving to be the greatest at the moment. Rory doing his thing: Grand Slam and Ryder Cup. I also enjoyed the European swing of the DP World tour. Penge, Couvra amongst others coming to the fore.
One negative: LIV is so irrelevant. Some of the courses they played were woeful. And I don't think even the players themselves really care that much. I would love to see LIV merge with DP world tour, so that there's a really strong global tour alongside the PGA tour. It saddens me a bit that the European tour has become little more than a farm tour for the PGA tour. Whereas it has a number of tournements that should have great stature, thinking of all the national opens in Europe.
Several things to unpick here! Which LIV courses were of poor quality as all the ones I watched were in Pristine condition or is it they just weren't recognised big names like other tours.Looking back over the past season (it's not over yet!) - I think it was wildly entertaining. I don't for one minute believe Rory's appearance is for the love of the Indian National open as it is for his wallet and sponsorship endorsements.. Would love to see DPWT return to the heights of the ET glory days but it's sad when it comes down ultimately paying players appearance fees whether directly or through sponsor enhancements. Kind of belittles the guys really working for it out there to become relevant and gain their playing rights.

So doesn't make it right or that I have to agree with it! I don't believe it should happen in any sport and it belittles others efforts regardless of what it brings in! So no I won't applaud a player getting paid more to turn up than some guys that might earn nothing if they miss the cut or others who may earn less despite out playing the bigger name!the fact he is there to help boost the event should be seen as a positive- his impact playing there is prob as big for golf in India than it was when Woods went there , it will be the same when he goes to Australia
It’s better for these players to go to these national opens than play in another run of the mill PGAT event
Get those players there , will potentially increase the level of sponsorship which in turn can increase the prize fund for those others grinding it away
Players have been paid appearance fees since the 70’s

I also would love to know how you think LIV can combine with DPWT as it doesn't fit their business model or branding for the game. Genuinely intrigued by that one as I loved the ET when it was at its height it was so much more interesting that the PGAT. But they sold out long ago and are barely more than a Feeder tour like Korn Ferry. It's sad but it's where we're at in the game,
That, to me, is a woeful course to play a monthly medal on let alone an, allegedly, top Professional tournament.....I don't think they've played anywhere worse than say Jackson Country Club on the PGA Tour. Flat, wide open with no rough and easy grgreens.
I agree with you that's why i'm intrigued as to his suggestion how LIV could join because it's polar opposites of what they both want to achieve. I still now prefer to watch the DPWT over PGAT, better variety of courses and different approaches rather than the boring bomb and gouge we see week in week out. Even the Ladies gilf I enjoy watching far more for the skill and shots rather than oh another 350yard drive and flickUnfortunately the ET was abandoned by all its top players over the decades - from the 80’s players just jumped ship when they could
It would have prob crashed if it didn’t look to join other Tours

I disagree, PIF could well get involved and bring glory days to DPWT and create a truly global tour. But Their model of team golf, music blaring etc doesn't fit in with the DWPT standard tour model. What LIV wanted to achieve was what Greg Norman wanted to achieve and that was to try and take players away from just playing in the US
What we could see happen is PIF do something with DP T and that is to create a true worldwide tour and players are attracted by a prize fund
The model of LIV would fit within a standard tour model

The only would be to create a hybrid tour of individuals qualify for an end of year one off team event, but thats not the same for them so would need a big rethink. The way LIV runs, the style of golf, the format and what it brings is refreshing and different but it certainly wouldn't fit into a standard tour model imo.
I think Old Tom Morris used to get appearance money for turning up for matches.the fact he is there to help boost the event should be seen as a positive- his impact playing there is prob as big for golf in India than it was when Woods went there , it will be the same when he goes to Australia

So you proved my point the LIV modelThat’s the LIV model as opposed to PIF itself - the LIV model was created by Greg Norman as opposed to PIF
PIF used to fund events on the DP Tour previously
PIF’s aim imo is to get seats at the top table of all major sports
Fully finding the DP tour to attract the best players can give them a big seat - it’s all set up globally already
All the LIV stuff was the idea of Greg Norman who has been let go
So you proved my point the LIV model
Wouldn’t work
And they would have to adjust to a standard model thus moving away from the current model they have. Quite simple when you agree![]()
Yet the question wasn’t about PIF it was “how does LIV merge with DPWT?”Hence why I was taking about PIF funding DP Tour not LIV joining or merging with the ET
