Professional Golf 2024 & 2025

I normally do not bad betting on the players and majors...
Struggling the now to work out who to bet on..
Norm is £5 to win outright on a fave or two..
Then 2no £5 ew bets on a mid odds and a long shot or similar...
No real standouts the now..

Its the 5th major, no. Or 4th maybe ?

In 1990, defending champion Tom Kite thinks the TPC should be recognized as a major.

'I said three years ago that our Players Championship has all the ingredients of a major championship,' Kite said. 'Since then, it's grown in stature. I'm not even sure if it's a fifth major. It may be as high as fourth in my opinion.'

Keep in mind though that he hadnt won his US Open at that point and was a Monty-esque nearlyman with a big number of major near misses. Whether he now comsiders himself a double major winner, I dont know.

Its not and never will be a “5th Major”

It’s an event limited to PGAT members and played on a boring course

It’s been over hyped to death
 
I was thinking about the “5th major” line that gets trotted out every year earlier.

It’s never been more unfounded than it is in the current era of golf. It won’t stop the usual suspects in the media from using it of course.

Yeah I enjoy it, strongest field outside of the majors , USA commentary is naff in general but as long as sky do their own I don't mind. As long as it's not McGinley 😬😬

👍.. It's not my fave but definitely up there....feels like the seasons about to start when it comes around...
I like the course but reading some of the comments, am starting to think we are in the minority.. Lol..
