Problems getting tee off times

some comps are played over 3 rounds some are best 3 out of four so if you can't get a time on a saturday you would .be out of full comp. the most players you can get on the course on one day is approx 220. with over 350 plus medal playing members wanting a tee time . when you pay over £600 fees you want to play in weekend medals

We have all competitions played over Wednesday (traditional half day for shop workers) Saturday and Sunday ( to accommodate Saturday workers) - this embraces most golfers tee off times and as already stated, weather, grass length and pin positions can all change BUT hey ho, who cares... it is only a game.

I find the moving of the tee off box by the same distance as the pin placement almost funny .. as the differing wind conditions MUST alter the clubbing on any given day or maybe the greenkeeper decides that there is a 4 mph wind today so we will only move the pin one foot but the tee box three feet.

I would have thought you can get quite a few more than that with the daylight hours available over the next couple of months.
7 minute tee offs, between 7am and 3-30 pm during the lighter months, its cut back with darker mornings and nights 8am till 3pm. we poor soles up north don't get as much day light

Surely in summertime, the further north you go, the more daylight hours. You poor souls up north must be an idle bunch as our weekend comps are starting just after 6 at the moment.

its for wear and tear if you have 300 guys using the same spot and it is only moved half a yard, i just asked or greenkeeper pins stay the same unless damaged

at my club we have comps only at the w/end either sat all day( upto 3-30pm ) or sun (3pm) a sheet goes up the previous week and you get a tee time i'm sorry but if you cant play on a week end then you cant play in the comps, seems a daft idea having members deciding when and on what day the wish to play in the comp other than those specified, what happens to those who wish to have a social game on a fri only to be told you cant play because those who cant play on a w/end have got a comp. on.

the course is open for bounce games and visitors on fridays

i still don't agree it is a first come first served approach,if you cant be bothered to go to the club and have a pint and a banter with fellow members/mates and wait for the sheet to be posted and therefore getting a time you like then NO you should not be allowed to play in the comp, you never said why you cant get a tee time and how come juniors are playing in men's comps. i find this annoying same as the senior's i cant play in their comps. but they fill up the sheet on a Thurs.
