Thought some of you chaps might be interested in this. I stumbled across a new site yesterday, called DiscountIF. Basically, the premise is, you purchase something from their website, that purchase also includes a bet. If the bet comes in, you get the winnings, which effectively equates to 100% "cashback", so get the item you ordered for free. For the Ryder Cup, they're selling 12 Pro Vs for £35, and if Europe win the Ryder Cup, you get them for free.

What you think? Anyone going to give it a go?

Do they have the word SCAM written anywhere , part with money and you get nothing but nothink ..............be careful

What makes you think it's a scam? Not used it, and it's in the very early stages of its life, but nothing on their site suggests scam to me. They've built a pretty big following on Twitter for a company so new too, and a lot of people seem to have use them.

I wouldn't use it either, but I know there are a lot of guys that enjoy a bet, especially on something like the Ryder Cup. So if you're thinking of betting anyway, or are in the market for some new balls, why not have a bet, and get some free Pro-Vs if the bet comes in. If it doesn't come in, you've still got something out of it, instead of wasting £35 to a betting shop.

£35.00 for balls if Europe Loose.

If they win the £35.00 is returned and you get the balls?

Is that right??

Europe are 8/13 to win outright so a £35.00 stake = £56.53 return. (21.53) profit.

So basically if you win you get the Pro V 1's for £21.53 based on 365 odds.

Yeah, so if Europe win, you get them for free, as the £35 is returned to you. If you lose, you've just paid £35 for some Pro V1's, which TBH, after having a look around, is a pretty decent price anyway.

Some other good stuff on there too. Worth keeping an eye out tbh.

I see they have a spurs shirt for £45.00 and if they beat Sunderland you get the cash back. So if you was going to buy the shirt it makes sense to do it on there. Then if the bet looses at least you got what you want and don't loose £45.00 to the bookies with nothing to show for it :) Also i wouldn't bet £45.00 on a single game haha.

Cheers for sharing.

Yeah, if there's something on there that you're in the market for, then it makes sense to buy it from them, on the off chance that you get it for free. I don't personally buy brand new golf balls, get all my Pro Vs either from finding them, or buying refurbished, but thought it'd be worth sharing, as I'm sure there are a few guys on here that might use it.

The bet is for Most points not to win outright.
But there is a link for USA to have the most points too.

So you could buy 2 lots one for Europe and one for USA to have the most points = £70.00
Quick look on Direct golf and its 2 packs for £73.95 so you save £3.95 and a good chance you get £35.00 back :)
So that means £17.50 a pack and pray its not a draw haha.

Interesting concept - I like it.

I'm tempted to go for the US and European win.

Not quite sure how viable it is as a business model though - they're essentially being the bookmaker, but they give something away win or lose. So assuming prices are the same as elsewhere, they've turned it into a lower margin business, haven't they?
