We'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Holidays and a very Merry Christmas from all at Golf Monthly. Thank you for sharing your 2025 with us!
I would love to say I was off to play a lovely course far far away but the truth is my little cherub wanted into our bed and I opted for the couch over the pink Barbie Palace bed.
70mm white stinger tees for the big dog, 35mm crown tees for everything else. Personally really like the stinger tees, not least of all because they just make the ball look like it is begging to be spanked! The crowns do their job and are very easy to spot if/when they pop out on impact. I used to hate that peering around for a crappy piece of plastic worth 0.05p.
Find it really hard to understand why people seem to place so little import on teeing up, especially on the shorter holes. When else do you get to give yourself a perfect lie?
Personally, I need every bit of help I can get and giving myself that total consistency at tee-off at least eliminates one potential area of blame!
castle tees for me - I need some consistency!
pinks for the driver - used to be grey,
yellows for 5W, hybrids and 5/6i,
blues for everything else.
(used to be whites for the 3W but don't have one at the moment).
I have started using Lift Tees and really like them, the only down side is that they sometimes travel with the ball and are easy to loose, but normal 70mm are great as I dont care for them after the shot.
