practise on the beach today

went and hit balls down on the west sands at st.andrews today ! got a few funny looks ,but had to get out for a swing . anyone tried this -make`s you hit ball first and improve`s your ball striking no end ! happy days

Took the dog for a run on Gullane beach which sits close to Muirfield GC - hitting golf balls didn't spring to mind tbh! 5 layers of clothing would have put paid to that for a start!

Good effort though GCD.

cheers skipper - yea was a bit cold to start with but the sun was out and as i loosened up i managed to get down to just the lined jumper - had the under armour gear on and it definately makes a difference apart from a few dog walkers havin a little moan it was well worth it !

I used to do this as a 14-16 year old back in the day when I could play!Aye it makes you hit it pure and I used to practice my bunker shots too,no wonder the Black Knight has a hotline to me,may head to Spittal very soon,be the only place to hit baws!

I managed to get to the range for a couple of hours. Was too hot with a base layer, polo jumper and club jumper on. Hit the ball well to start with but tailed off. Think I lost concentration. Good to hit some balls again though

My pro did suggest to me to go down to a beach and hit balls off wet sand as it it really improves your ball striking. Might have to drag my arse down to the beach soon if this weather aint going to get any better.
