Practicing on the beach

I live a stones throw from the beach, Decided a few weeks back to take an old 8iron down with a couple of pockets of balls.

May not be standard practice but its giving me some good practice.

Not playing from the dry soft sand, using the damp compacted stuff, Slightly softer than lush fairways.

Thoughts on this practice guys?

Didn't do Seve any harm, though he used a 3 iron.

good idea for developing good ball striking, forces you to pick the ball neatly off the sand on the downswing, if you're slightly off the sand will find you out!
