However, im not sure why its "tough" out there at Woburn, lovely day for Golf, and these are the countries best amateurs playing, worst handicap is scratch, and 1/3 of the field cant break 80
He may have a point and knowing Poults, he wont be backwards in coming forwards

Poults brings a breath of fresh air to the game, he's much needed, we need characters like that.

I have mixed feelings about the guy. Yes he is a breath of fresh air and speaks his mind however also comes across as arrogant and moody. His caddy and he always moaning about people distracting him when he taking a shot etc etc. Don't think he is as good as he thinks he is either.
Not a problem for Gypsy Ridden.....66 is good shooting for the lad.

My dad was there today, followed a few of the lads from his track on the Marquess, said some of the pin positions had to be seen to believed and that was what had caused most of the problems
He may well have a point and he's entitled to his opinion. Whether mocking guys who are clearly trying their best on twitter is a good idea - probably not but at least he says what he thinks and I don't actually have a problem with it. He does a lot of good stuff (his day at Woburn recently for up and coming juniors, supportng Dreamflight etc) and so I can forgive the odd foot in mout moment

Our pro was down at Woburn the other week with one of the juniors for a golf clinic and to play in some comp round Woburn,he said he was a cracking guy was really good with everyone there nothing was to much trouble, the guy from our place always thought he was a bit of a knob but on meeting him and spending time him his opinion changed saying he was a cracking guy.

He kind of had a point to be fair.
AND to top it off he offered to help develop the young players in this country? The nerve of the man!!

Poulthard has a little talent but considering he earned less than 4.5k from his last two competitions, he shouldnt be slating anyone. he is a mid order golfer who has had his moment in the sun.

Whilst this may be true, it seems to me that he's passionate about making the younger golfers in this country successful at the top level. Can't fault him for that.

That's a bit like comparing apples and oranges though. The conditions at the open could not have been further from the conditions that they had at Woburn yesterday.
