But, what really worries me are people who say they get all their news off social media. For me, probably the most unreliable source of information around at the moment (not including Donald Trump). And as has been said, Facebook tailors what you watch to what you look at so you get fed with what you want to believe.
I had to have a pretty direct chat with my mum when she started sharing stuff about 'gargling salt water' and 'eating garlic' etc at the beginning of the COVID crisis. She's usually pretty good and she felt she was just being helpful as it sounded sensible!!
It is amazing what people will share, specifically stuff about if you open something then you bank account will be instantly emptied. They just share it on FB without having a quick Google, 9 times out of 10 they appear on Snopes as being complete hoaxes.
