Portugal/Spain long weekend

Planning a 3-4 night golf trip for this time next year, looking for fairly lively nightlife, good courses (either 2 played twice or 3 different ones)& no need of hiring a car or spending a fortune on taxis, anyone done this & can offer ideas?

Spain,stay in Girona it's superb very Spanish and not your pie and chips type place and is cheaper than the southern Costas with loads of great,well priced golf golf...don't miss PGA Cataluyna.

Portugal,I have been many times to Carvoiero,good nightlife,not jumping but all you need for a few ales in decent atmosphere and plenty good solid courses within 20 minute drive,didn't like Vilamoura and aint been to Albufeira.

Forgot to say I think you may be fecked with regard not needing transport of some sort unless you go to Vilamoura and pay over the odds for a hotel that you can get bused from.Even then you still need to get to and from airport and the nightlife aint all that great....

If you really don't want car hire then Vilamoura is fine. You should be able to get a good deal with golf included. All the hotels run minibuses to the courses but a taxi will only be a couple of quid each max. Nightlife on your doorstep (full of blokes though unless you visit a certain "feline" establishment ). Albufiera is lively and just up the coast too. All in all not as expensive as you may think.

Try Cascais which is a resort not far from Lisbon. Lots of nice golf courses there and just down the road from Estoril.
