I prefer not to stop mid round but sometimes it’s worth it for social outings.

I will probably and nearly always play worse after but as the round is about the people not the golf then who cares.

I would prefer the local favourite if there is one unless it is beef, then a simple bacon or sausage sandwich is enough. If not that then a coffee and a twix will do.

There is no better meal than a growler ( Yorkshire term for a pork pie not the other meaning?) mushy peas and mint sauce on top.
