I don't get it. The halfway house after the 11th......people practically slobbering thinking about the pies. Now granted, they are pretty good pies (so they tell me). I would much rather have something else...subway sandwich? Burrito? What is it with needing to stop part way around to consume large amounts of meat/fat?

Correction.....my favourite eatery is NOT Taco Bell.....although it is ok. I'm due for a trip to York.....American Golf is close. Rancho Alegre....Deer Park WA....Looks like a dive....

Pork Pie? Not for me.

Rewind my story about a pair of brother I played cricket with in Malmesbury... family business was an abattoir. They avoided commercial sausages and pork pies with a vengeance, and said we's rather not know the reasons! :)

Fried egg bap or a cheese salad butty for me please! (They Abbey Mill in Tintern do awesome steak and stilton pies, if they were in the halfway house they'd sell like hot cakes pies!)

I hate the halfway house. If you need food for energy for the back 9 you need to have eaten it a long time before the 10th tee. And a pork pie is probably one of the worst foods you can eat to provide a quick release of energy. It will sap energy as you digest it.

Take what food and drink you need for the round with you and crack on. In the age of combating slow play, the halfway house where you stop and sit down should be stopped. Fine if they want one that you can pick something up from as you pass.

We have excellent homemade Cornish pasties (my favorite) & sausage rolls, or you can have a bacon or sausage buttie, thankfully no pork pies ?

The fridge always has plenty of beer in it ?

Read this 4 or 5 times now and it makes no sense whatsoever.
Connecting to the earlier posts.....maybe.

Ok....here's my life story. ...Kidding....My fav Mexican food was in a town called Deer Park, in Washington....the state...not the other place. This place was called Rancho Alegre....it was NOT an attractive building, at all. My finance guy pointed us to this place. It really looks like a dive (American for poop hole). It's not Taco Bell. But.....I'd eat there in a heart beat. The food was good.
