Got my first one of a block of three booked for tomorrow.
Despite looking like a horror show, I'm not looking to change anything. At my age, I'm stuck with what I have.
I would just like to concentrate on my two biggest faults, which are to do with alignment and swaying.
If he can help me sort those out, I'll be happy.

aim parallel left, and don't sway.

You're welcome:ears:

I've had 2 this year, the first one was a MOT check and to help iron shots leaking to the right ( caused of all things by bad posture ) and a putting lesson.
both were low tech , either off a range mat or a practice green and I went away with stuff to work on over the season.
i will try and have a couple more after Christmas , just to stop any bad habits creeping in.

I've had 15 this year and had the same amount last year, made huge swing changes and finally seeing the benefits now. Not just the lessons but coupling with a lot of range time too, to get the full benefits/results.
Helps that I have found a really good pro as had lessons in the past that have not been up to much!

I have had non this year. I had 12 last and I ended up feeling like the pro I used was not very good at his job.

Nine for me, starting with the end of some changes I made last winter and some short game tuition and a few over the season to tweak some faults. Very happy with the strike right now but need to work on tempo and then I'll be a happy Homer and any winter work will be short game this year. Not tweaking what I have too much more other than ensuring basics are good

Are you secretly hoping that his answer is tobuy a really long armed retro jumper?

None as i still have the DVD`s from my lessons and refer back to them with a little help from my good mate Russ , Played quite well in the later part of the season without scoring , last few comps in the Buffer

One for me and that was only because I had a voucher for a free one. Otherwise it would've been none because I have given up on trying to improve and have accepted that I have reached the limit of my ability. In over 30 years of playing the game my handicap has never been lower than 17 or higher than 19. The only thing that might help me improve is more time to play but that's not going to happen in the near future. I have accepted my lack of ability and my aim now is simply to enjoy my golf and I don't need lessons to help me do that.

I only had one lesson this year to try and sort out my chipping. With a bit of practice it seems to have worked, because I am no longer shanking chip shots (touch wood!).
:)

P.S. Forgot that I also had a free 15 minute golf lesson at a golf tournament. :swing:

I had a lesson every three weeks from October 2013 to August this year - helped me immensely but I hit a point where I was going over the same stuff each time. I'm never going to be great but I'm a fair bit better than I was at the start of it.

Around 10 i reckon, try to have one every month or so.

They have been worth every penny, since my pro got a Gc2 launch monitor I feel it's helped me understand my swing better and made me realise you don't need to have a "textbook swing" as long as you are getting a good strike and the right numbers at impact.

I've been cut 5 shots this year and I reckon I can easily get it into single figures next year with some hard work on my short game.

None... barely had time to play this year... did get a fantastic tip from my lad. My long game is better than its been for years.
