I find this video strangely satisfying. About time the police took tougher action against these types of criminal. My only complaint is that they’re not allowed to do it in Mad Max style vehicles with big spikes on the front....

They need bull bars or similar or the bill to repair the police cars will be high.
Look at most cop cars in the USA they all have these .
I am all for it as long as they get the right person.

The IPCC are looking in to 3 of the incidents so I suspect there will be ramifications but good on them, not before time.

The IPPC need to look what’s best for the public in general and let the cops do their job.
We are to soft on crims it needs to stop, put the rights of the victims before the criminals.

They think they are untouchable at the moment , maybe this will make them think twice.
The cops need a clause to protect officers in these cases and if the crims get hurt it’s just tough.

I assume this tactic was discussed at a high level rather than a couple of police officers having a bad day sand taking it out on the moped riders. Hopefully the IPCC aspect is just part of the process to ensure the contact was reasonable and safe.....or as safe as it can be.

These riders will have been given the opportunity to stop which they declined. After that I’m happy for the police to use any means.

There was one little drug-dealing scrote who a few years ago unfortunately died when trying to escape from police, crashed and died. He had multiple mobile phones on him, bags of drugs and a ton of cash. Yet it the police who were castigated over it and the family naturally described him as angelic and a model individual. Sorry but he chose the life he had and his actions led to his death.

Good for the police in dealing with the scum of society like this.

Pathetic Shark, on his soap box, News at Ten, just to the right wing of Attila the Hun.

I'll be honest, I'm on the fence with this. On the one hand, I expect someone will be killed by this. On the other, how else do you stop the little scrotes?

Providing the police have 100% positive ID I'm inclined to say yes. It sends a message out to others not to do it. Some of the crimes committed from the back of these scooters have been horrendous, e.g. the acid spraying. It needs a tough response, but killing someone...?

..................................... and?

Unless of course the guys on the mopeds have done something serious it seems a very risky thing to do , I guess they are very well trained to ensure it’s done at the right time but imagine if they did knock the moped and it went into a innocent bystander. Very risky and whilst you can get a sense of serves them right - wouldn’t want it to get out of hand

This! With the same reservations!

I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's actually an 'all for show' promotion either! But if it reduces offences....

i think they are running scooters of the road that failed to stop rather that using it to stop ever scooter. That is some kind of ID in my book. If you run from the police you open yourself up to a chase, and then they have the right to stop you.
