again another Scottish based golf magazine with free golf offer. yes GM is a far better mag to read and far better than one with world in title. but us readers and of course us Scots like free golf. so sort it out

Got to defend GM here, quality magazine, free gifts with subscription, free forum, free golf offered on the forum (powerplay as an example), super prizes/competitions (my recent Ping win, R11 fitting, ball fitting, footjoy etc..). I really don`t see any need for complaints.

The trouble with their offer is that you can't necessarily get the tee time you would like
Wednesday morning at 11:30am seems to be no problem at all, but ask for a Friday.....
There is also the problem of hoards of the 'once a year' brigade trying to play.
PS it's not that good a mag anyway

Pish mag but a great offer.
No problem with booking times Dave,a Saturday for the Torrance and Fridays abound for the Kintyre when I enquired but time is running out and I think our Kintyre vouchers may go unused as we are struggling to fit it in.
I will be renewing and taking advantage of their offer though.

A small Mag like yours can offer a free golf deal because they know that the number taking up the offer wont be in the thousands...
If GM offered free golf in their mag at compatable courses, it would cost them a small fortune as many thousands would take up the offer and you'd struggle to get a tee-time.

If 5% take up the offer then that's, what, about 8-900 maybe a few more going for it.
You put that offer in GM to play Wentworth East and Belfry PGA -for instance - and the numbers would be staggering - you'd get more than 5% take up for that. And that would cost a large fortune.

We don't have actual figure so can't really commment.
Everyone I know that took up a subscription has used the vouchers and I alone know a fair few,who wouldn't?It is a fantastic offer.
They could do something similar for a 'limited time' only but maybe they don't need to.
No doubt,if they did, it would be for courses south of the Watford Gap though.

as i said us Scots like free stuff even if it was souff of the border id be prepared to walk 500 miles.
