As christmas approaches, a hugely happy time for many of us, it is also a time to reflect on how lucky we are to have what we have.

For many christmas is a sad time of year. The bereaved, the lonely, the unloved, the sick, the homeless, the neglected, the abused.

Please join me in a moment of prayer, or if a non-believer, a moment of reflection, to spare a thought for these people.

And also every member of our armed-forces away from home this christmas and their families, I lost a good friend in Afghanistan this year so in particular, my thoughts are with his family.

I wish each and every one of you a wonderful christmas full of joy and happiness and a happy & prosperous new year.

Jon.

And you mate.
My family is all in England, so just me and my brood but at least I can talk to mine to make sure all is rosey.
Hope we all have a great time, but remember the folks that can't. Best wishes all...

Great words!

We moan but we really are incredibly fortunate to live in the country that we do and to be able to do the things that we do.

My family are all home this year (my Brother-in-law is in the armed forces so is regularly away for Christmas) so I'm lucky.

Funnily enough, with our handsome Christmas dinner on the table, my Wife asked us to consider those less fortunate than ourselves. I always wonder what I'd do with three magic wishes - I'd only need one. I'd ask that everyone had as happy a Christmas Day as I have - every year.

I wish you all well - where ever you are.

Dave
