Playing through- Do you feel the pressure?

I'm sure people have actually said to me 'would you like to play through?' which in my head always sounds like 'would you like to top or slice it while we watch?'.

I agree that there is a bit of pressure there in getting out of their way as quickly as possible to reward their good manners.

Yes, feel your pain. However there is nothing sweeter than being called through, smashing your drive up the middle, hitting the green in reg and strolling off with a par or even birdie.

This is a great feeling and on the 2nd hole of my first round at my new club this week I did exactly that... felt relief & pride :)

Lol, same here, but in reality, it's not always the case. I recently duffed a tee shot to the right and found my ball between my fairway and the next, less than a foot away from another player's coming the other way. Told him to play first as I was more likely to duff it if he was watching, but he couldn't because he was waiting for the green to clear. I proceeded to hit my best 4 iron ever. I still need to get a grip on the mental side.
