Broke 90 for the first time in a long while and shot an 87. Didnt feel i was playing particularly well but my short irons saved me. Moment of the day was sinking a 20 footer for birdie to half the hole :D Delighted with my score - Golf is a great game....most of the time!

Excellent matey, Onwards and upwards. I think the key to a good round is acknowledging there are going to be slip ups, its knowing when to bail out for safety and when to go for the slightly riskier shot. Never walk onto a par four saying to yourself "I need a 4" or " I need to take 5 at most" play within yourself and your scores will come down. Its when you try to play shots you have not practiced, thats when you fall down. Play your own game and practice new shots on the range, not when theres a card in your hand.

I tend to play better when not marking a card, if I just remember what score I am on say +2 and boggy the next it seems to relax me more than writing it down.
