Nervous doesnt quite cut it, as the scorecard shows for the first few holes. Came onto a game the back 9 after thinning basically every iron shot for the first 7 or 8 holes. Good aspects though, my driving improving dramatically and my putting was excellent tonight, Lucky if i had 30 putts. Despite the poor first few can start to see my game improving, consistency is only getting better.

Cheers mate. Cant wait for the scores to come down. I usually break 100, my usual bounce rounds are low 90s, still havent broke 90 yet, only a matter of time though :) Just nerves getting the better of me today and playing with 3 lads iv never played with before.

A definite disqualification there - rule 6-2b.

Edit - just remembered you haven't got one yet.

I played a supplementary round round last night, not sure what it is really but a few of my mates said I could play and mark a card and hand it in for my handicap. Anyway i went round in 79 shots and they have told me I will get a handicap reduction for it, not sure what my new handicap will be as I don't know hoe to work it out but should know later today or tomorrow.

I also missed a few short putts:-(

I didn't think supplementary rounds were in effect in Scotland? Regardless though I believe you have to say beforehand if you are submitting one.

it was news to me but the pro said it was fine so we paid a couple of quid and signed in before we went out. He told us we were allowed 10 supplementary rounds a year, going to play another one this afternoon.

Why is the CSS printed on the card?

Great news for the clubs that dont do enough comps! what's the weather like in Bonny Scotland just now?

A bit windy and some light rain, hope it clears up before the afternoon i hate playing in the rain

Don't forget your playing off a reduced handicap today! 79 nett 61. 11 under par would be 11 x 0.3, 3.3 cut dependant on SSS

To OP good to get your first card done get the other 2 in and away you go, now youve done the first it should get easier! Good luck.

Are you allowed to put 2 (supps)in the same week?

I hope so because I just had a 79 this afternoon, my handicap should get slashed.

As far as I know you can but there is a limit as to how many in a month, might be wrong mind you.

Also my mate handed in the putter he found last night.

Thought there was something about a limit of some sort over the week/month

Is Scotland some sort of backwater that doesn't allow supplementary cards??

The answer is no. Of course supplementary cards are allowed at the discretion of the club. Its designed to aid poor shift workers like myself.

Yeh I did not put in a handicap as the guy in the shop said they would do the adjustments tomorrow, does anybody know what my new handicap is likely to be.
