Its not a problem for me as ladies can't play on saturdays, but if you have a season ticket for your team and a comp at your club which do you do or do you try to do both?

When I was a season ticket holder the last time, I managed both, as Premiership games were Sat afternoons, sundays 4pm and Mondays so I was pretty well able to play on Sunday mornings and get to football as well

Why do you play at a club that won't let ladies play on Saturdays? I'm a guy and even I think that's ridiculous!
I'd play a comp in the morning and then head to the game after lunch

How has your club managed to get around the equalities act.

In answer though to your question, I manage both 8:00 tee a couple of beers then down to the match. Though even in the championship don't seem to get that many saturday 3pm kick offs these days.

I got rid of my CPFC season ticket a couple seasons ago so I could afford to join a golf club. I followed Palace home and away for a couple of years, think I missed 2 games, friendlies, league and cup in 2 years and just got all footballed out so opted to concentrate on Golf and join a club.

In answer to the question, if I had a season ticket I'd go to the football, plenty of golf competitions to play in.

I'd prefer to do it in a different order, couple of beers, 8am tee time and then down to the match!

As a five day member and no football teams to watch I cannot answer the question. However why don't your club have Saturdays as 'no ladies, no one over 55, no one under 17 and maximum 18 H/C'. That should accommodate the 350 yard brigade.
So a woman at your club working full time can only play on a Sunday. Shocking.

Gave up on football ages ago, the final nail in the coffin was England in the last world cup. Too much money has ruined the game in my view. Still watch the odd game and love the foxes but got better things to do with my time now!

And no ladies on Saturdays is shocking!

I guess it suits you or you wouldn't have joined, Louise, but I must admit to visiting their website and having a chuckle; I understand now why the ladies "7 day membership" is cheaper than the men's.

Women can pay full price for full membership and presumablely play when they like but my fees are 3/4 of the mens so not complainng too much.

Saturday is men's comp day and apparently its always full, so bearing that in mind unless women can play in mens comps, when would we be able to play on saturdays anyway?

Wouldn't have a season ticket to Fulham.

1) I'm not a masochist and can't put up with days like today on a regular basis.
2) Our first teem time in a comp is 8.00 so getting to the ground either by train or car is always going to be a huge rush that it sort of takes the pleasure and anticipation out of it
3) Can't find it in me to support Reading even though they are much closer

I still try to do both.

I'll get up and play at 7.30 if a 12.45 Ko, I'll play at 9 if a 3.00 Ko etc.

I only have to leave for the match about 50 mins before ko, so I'm ok for both, although sometimes struggle in winter. I can sometimes even get a game in and go to an away match, if only at Blackburn, Bolton etc.

the footy is getting less important though season by season, and may start to pass on going to some away matches, as after going to Blackburn away 20 odd times, you've done it all now, nothing new and getting more and more expensive. Chelsea can be £58 for an away ticket, and QPR asking for £55 - hope you go down and never come back again!!!! Carpetbaggers.
