places to eat in Edinburgh

Haggis is now going to be a permanent addition to my fry ups. Had never even considered it but it really does take it up a level

Have you had Black Pudding with a fry-up? Similar concept and certainly sparkles one up a bit.

Yep, black pudding is part of my fry up but the haggis was spicier and just excellent. Suspect part of that is down to the quality so need to research an online retailer

Plenty of good ones (usually local butchers Tbf). A decent supermarket bought one is MacSween. :)

If it's not too late I'd head to the Witchery. Very good food and an amazing atmosphere... Missoni around the corner is also a good shout.

You need a nice bit of fruit pudding in a full breakfast as well ;)

One of your 5-a-day n'all David ;)

And although it's clearly too late, I'm going to mention a few of my favourite places....

Mussel & Steak - for mussels and steaks. Good value at lunch too.
Wings - for chicken wings. Quirky little place, great atmosphere, great wings, cheap beer.
Auld Reekie's Smokehouse - Scottish barbecue (proper barbecue, not a few burnt sausages).
The Voodoo Room - great food, killer cocktails
The Black Rose - Rock and whiskey bar with great burgers. Cheap too :)

I'm hungry now :(

Me and the Mrs are in Edinburgh this weekend, had a good look through the restaurants listed. Had a look online and found a few bars and restaurants that we might try - Burger and Beers, The Dome, Tigerlily, Paradise Palms, 99 Hanover St, Reekies, Brew Dog, Timberyard. Never been before so looking forward to it.
