Pink Mould on Golf Shoes?

I seem to have a pink mould blotches developing on/in my white golf shoes. I think it may be where thorn pricks have penetrated the surface of the shoe and damp has got in.

How do I stop it and clean it.

I had something similar when I kept my shoes in the shed. I gave them a good clean with Elbow Grease and convinced the Mrs to let me keep them inside. No problems since

Gonna give then a little spray with a mould remover, and keep them in the house.

Well I have to say that it’s a very nice pink, much more a Barbie pink than a salmon pink. But it does rather distract from the lovely gold aglets of the laces.
