PING's Wolverine and Tomcat

PING's putters have arrived in the office... a few pics here of the Wolverine and Tomcat from the Scottsdale range...

The Wolverine looks like they have swiped the fangs from an Odyssey Sabretooth and put it on an old Ping allignment putter. Even the name is a rip off.

I guess other companies have copied Ping for years, so why not copy Odessey.

Wonder how much they paid to use the Wolverine name?

I've been searching for a Putter for the past two months that I like the look of, and have yet to come across one I *really* like. The YES! range seem to be pipping it at the moment though...Love their weight as well. Got to start building the Chrimbo list

The Tomcat looks OK, nothing special. I'd try one if they do a centre shaft version.

The Wolverine just looks wrong. More braces than a dentist.

Scottsdale is the area of Arizona where Karsten Solheim was from I believe.

Tomcat looks pretty decent to me, head size looks about right for me. Does not really leap out as anything special though. The Taylormade Ghost range are the only putters that have lept out at me this year.

Shame about these as until then I thought the new range was half decent. None of these putters look great and don't do anything to enhance Pings reputation for decent putters

They look pretty good, I like the wolf one as its like my current one but without a cheap looking insert.

Shame, I was really hoping to like these but I don't. However, I've always preferred the traditional blade look.
