I am 80+ Senior Golfer H/C 22 and am looking to buy a Ping G425 Max Driver - 12.0 degree loft.
I am seeing 3 shaft options, all Senior flex which I have been playing previously.
Fujikura Atmos Orange A flex
Ping Alta CB55
Ping Alta Quick 45
Would appreciate any feedback on rating etc.

Simplest answer is to try them and see which performs best for your swing

Same age band as you - fitted 2 years ago at Ping with CB55, can't fault it.

Thanks for that, I had this shaft in a G410 seem to remember it was SR (Soft/Reg flex) . They seem to class this as a Senior Shaft and I probably stick with same again. the others seem to be a bit light at 40/45 grams and I am having 12 deg of loft and that might make ball flight too high.

The nicety of a modern club that is that you can change shafts .
Buy the one you think that will be the best fit and if you do not like it sell it and fit another.
There are always lots of shafts for sale on ebay

I went slightly the other way, bought it with the most expensive shaft (same price as the others when bought new) tried it, sold it and bought a a cheaper one The Fujikura is probably the most valuable of the 3 shafts.

One of our Seniors extols the virtues of the Quick 45 shaft....

Interesting.
I'm a bit younger than you (63)
But, I recently had a ping fitting day.
My swing speed for a driver is 85 - 90 mph
I tried the Ping G430 irons fitted with the Alta Quick 45 shaft.
I hit them really well, long, straight & tight dispersion.

I tried the Ping G430 3 wood Max & SFT heads with the Alta Quick 45 shaft, I hit the SFT version very well with again long, straight & tight dispersion.
The Max head I found harder to hit & I wasn't as long or as accurate with it.

I tried the Ping G430 Driver with the SFT & Max heads & the Alta Quick 45 shaft.
I hit the SFT version better than the Max, but unlike the 3 wood & irons the dispersion wasn't great (too many left & right)
The fitter then put in a Hazardous Smoke 50g shaft, wow what a difference, long & straight

Ping also do a Alta Quick 35g shaft for slower swing speeds.
I asked about the previous Distenza shafts & the fitter said they had been discontinued due to poor results / feedback.

Hope that helps.

What a great response..... Many thanks, I have a fitting booked for next week.

I play a 10.5* Ping G425 driver with an R Alta CB 55 shaft. I have it set at the small + (which adds 1*) and the back weight in the draw position. I'm 75 with torn rotator cuffs in both arms. My average drive is 185 to 200 depending on wind and if the fairways are firm. I have an R2 (senior flex) Fujikura Vista Pro 55 I tried a couple of years
ago. I'm going to change the adapter and try it in my G425. I'm hoping for a few more yards off the tee. I'm a firm believer in experimenting whenever you can. Fittings are great but actual on the course demoing works best for me.

I played yesterday with the Vista Pro 55 R2 and was pleased with the results. I think I gained a few yards. I'm going to keep playing it for the next month. That should let me know if it's longer than the R flex Alta CB 55 stock shaft.

Haven't noticed a huge difference between the Alta 55R and the Vista Pro 55R2. Someone suggested I should try a Ping Alta 55SR. I plan to try that tomorrow.
