Does anyone have a putter from the Ping Scottsdale range and can provide any feedback on them? I was looking at the PickmeUp and Wolverine and struggling to decide between that and a more classic head shape in this range....

I intend trying them obviously but just wondered if anyone owned one and could give some views...

Cheers

Hi,

I have a Ping Scottsdale Tomcat S, very happy with it. Very confidence inspiring, nice to look down at, however I can confirm that it does not have the ability to make someone who is a poor putter turn good.

I have the Wolverine C (centre shafted version) and find it brilliant, it's really easy to align and the insert has a nice firmish feel without being clicky. I've never liked the feel off the face of a solid metal faced putter and like the alignment aids of a mallet, couple that with the centre shaft which suits my eye and it's perfect. The pick'em up is good too but lacks the alignment line.

I've recently got a Scottsdale Carefree putter. Suited my slight arc putting stroke than my previous blade.

Only had the chance to play a couple of proper rounds with it so far but I prefer it to my old one and having some good results.

The alignment line works well (which I didn't have before) and now started drawing guidance lines on my balls too, would recommend them if that is what you're looking for.

I have the Pickmeup and like it better than most. I like the small face as it makes it harder to hit off centre and it really "pings" nicely off the face when well struck. It sits well behind the ball and really I can'nt add any more.

Just sold a Wolverine C,great on short putts struggled with the longer ones, good putter and a good series,it's all about getting a putter shape that works for you alone.
