Whichever performs best is the obvious answer
But...
Don't forget looks.
You're going to be looking down on these irons for a good while, and looking at them in the bag.
Make sure you don't flinch every time you look down on one..
not really a comparable iron. the ap2 is more comparable with the iblade. the i25 is alot more forgiving with off centre strikes than the ap2. the ap2 will be a lower ball flight than the i25
I used to have Titleist cb irons and changed to i25 two years ago.
They look fine at address and you can shape the ball easily. I also don't see them as any more forgiving than the cb were. Maybe I just hit the middle of the club often enough!
AP2 are literally so handsome especially looking down.
I wouldn't say they are a low flying iron though. The lofts are pretty traditional and the tungsten is low in the face so don't expect to bomb them as they launch high and spin a fair amount and I have project x shafts.
I'm easily a club shorter using these than most other sets
Distance control and dispersion is second to none though.
I25 more user friendly and closer to a GI club. Don't understand all the fuss over ap2's, lots of better options. I had the 712 and they were ok but nothing more, look ok, felt poor for a forged club, pretty short and offer little forgiveness. The 588cb I replaced them with are hands down the better iron but get little love. Mainly the name and marketing you are paying for.
Ap2's for me, look stunning at address and in the bag. Wouldn't say I'm any shorter than using my big old callaway shovels either. If a bit more forgiveness is something you consider to be beneficial to your game I would go i25 providing you like the look and feel of them
