At least I understand how it clips together now, rather than trying to find a way to slide the strap through.

Ping quality appears to have taken a nose dive. Pal of mine has had that happen twice.

I'm on my second Hoofer. My most regular pp has my first one. Both are in tip-top condition after loads of use. I can't figure out how that piece could break or be lost in normal use unless the user mucked about with it.
