Ping G20 driver

Plenty forgiving - and long if the shaft suits.

Not sure whether it's worthwhile upgrading yet. Why are you considering it?

got one last year and really happy with it
really forgiving on off centre hits, when you don't feel like you caught it right
it still gets it out there.
and when you middle it, BOOM!

Big Al is right, love my g20 and got fitted with a stiff shaft and it flies when caught out of the screws and forgiving if not.
As always though, it's usually the swing that let's its down but now I am swinging smoother and slower I am seeing the benefits

With regards to Mike I just wished I could hit my driver 230-40 I've got a K 15 driver and the best distance I've got out of it is 210,I know I'm getting on a bit but 210 is just rubbish,I've come to the conclusion that Ijust dont get on with Ping,in fact I bought a G15 3 wood a couple of months ago and ended up selling it on ebay for a tenner less than I paid for it,just ordered a Tour Edge "exotics" driver so we'll see how that goes.

Brookie, surprised by that, I find the K15 easy to hit, and has helped my game a lot, I have heard a lot of positive things about the G20,hence the question asked, Given that I am improving came down last season from 15-10 I want to hit the ball further (don't we all though!) and thinking the G20 could assist with that, and without leaving the Ping range, to which I like.

Some pretty daft 'logic' in there imo - unless there's a bit more 'previous'!

Wasn't particularly a Ping guy, but a G15 Driver hit the spot a couple of years ago - probably because of the shaft. TEE gear is normally really good though - had a CB1 3-wood (actually 2!) for some time and it was a rocket!

If the shaft/head is reasonably well suited (don't let the ego get in the way as too stiff costs distance) then the only way to improve distance is by hitting it harder! Ping does have a tendency to fib about the actual loft though, so you may be getting too much Launch and Spin - which would, most likely, only increase if you hit it harder. You should be able to tell from the current flight though. Playing about can be enjoyable, but can be quite expensive. Better to get some unbiased professional advice imo.

Absolutely delighted with my custom fitted Ping G20 driver. I changed from the Taylor Made R11S mid-season and it's a decision I've not regretted. I find the G20 much more forgiving for the occasional off centre strike :D and it generally feels much more comfortable.
