i See AG has a deal on currently for Ping G10 irons. Im a 28 handicapper been playing for approx one year now.

What do you think of them, any good? if not want would you reccommend to a high handicap player who is looking for a new set of forgiving irons

cheers golfers

They would be an ideal club in my book for a 28 handicapper. Larege cavity and pretty high ball flight. Depending on what shaft options they have (i.e. would stiff be too hard for you to hit etc) then why not. Try them first though ideally on a range and not just in a bay in the shop so you can see for yourself how they fly

The G10's are game improvement irons. Might work for you, if you want some pings that are even more forgiving look at the k15's.

And don't listen to them all on here about pings for oldies... they can't help been jealous :)

If Lee Westwood, Louie Ousthaizen & Miguel Jimenez play Ping, then anyone can !

I used the Zing2 irons for about 12years, and they took me down to a 12 Handicap, and were extremely powerful clubs, - more so than my CB's are now.
I only changed for something more 'workable', and perhaps easier on the eye, but make no mistake, the G10's would be just perfect for you I'm sure.
Try them first tho of course.

I started playing golf this time last year and got a handicap of 22,I was using a set of Wilson irons and my handicap went up to 24 within 4 months. Decided to get a new set of irons last May. I tried out mostly cavity back and a few blades. The Ping G10's where the best buy I have ever made,by the end of the summer my handicap was down to 20.1. Not sure if it's all down to the irons but I felt alot more confident hitting the ball, esp with long irons and I had alot more distance aswell. I would def recommend them for a high handicapper from a high handicapper.
